FOSS COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES

Date of Next Meeting: 17/10/2006

Present: Lisa, Brenda, Sari & Jennie

Apologies: Lesley, Maureen & Victoria.

Minutes of last meeting: Agreed and signed.

Financial report: Nothing to report as Lesley away on holiday.

Minibus Lottery: Brenda reported the account is quite healthy, though more tickets need to be sold. Alison to write a letter to new parents explaining about the minibus lottery.

Year Diary: Meetings to be held on every 3rd Tuesday of the month at 3.45pm at school.

Book Bags: School have asked if FOSS will buy more book bags.

Firework Display: 6^thNovember 6.30pm. Lisa to check time and date with Tony & Alan. Lisa reported that a licence wasn’t needed this year to light the fireworks. Tony & Alan have agreed to do the fireworks this year. Sue Knox is happy for the display to take place at school but asked if not so many screaming fireworks are set off. Lisa to ask Terry about using the field at the back of school. Every- one agreed to serving hot dogs etc from kitchen rather than having a BBQ

Christmas – Dinner/Presents: Lisa showed committee a Baker Ross catalogue to look through for Christmas present’s, the committee thought it would be a good idea. Committee agreed to the same arrangements as last year.

Halloween:

Fund raising ideas: Committee thought it would be nice to do a fund raiser for children in need. Lisa to ask Peter Farmery about a sponsored walk.

A. O. B: Jan Bonus asked about a friendship sign and bench (this is for children to go to if they have no-one to play with). Lisa to talk to Ben.

Jennie asked about art aprons for the top two classes, every one agreed, Jennie to look into it.

Recruitment drive: Sari to write a letter to all parents about FOSS and what we do.
